The Maile Collection
Maile (pronounced my-leh) is a fragrant native vine that grows in remote regions of Hawaiian rainforests. Its vines are picked and carefully intertwined to create long open-ended lei. The twisting of the vines symbolizes unity between loved ones and is worn at weddings, graduations, and special occasions. Maile's significance in Hawaiʻi dates back to ancient times. These regal vines were worn by Aliʻi (Royalty) and used as peace offerings on battlefields. Maile is even honored by the hula goddess, Laka, and is celebrated in mele (song) and worn during hula (dance). Commemorate your stories of Aloha (Love), Ho‘ohanohano(Honor), and respect with our Maile Collection.
